I'm a businessman. I have worked in industry for the past thirty years, and owned my own business the past fifteen.
I decided I needed a change, and I've finally gone back to school for a Master's in Education at the University of New Mexico. I went into the degree expecting to be forced to learn a bunch of stuff that had no bearing on teaching. I have been proved wrong. The professors I have worked with are uniformly brilliant, and my classmates are a smart and caring bunch. I suspect that the problem does not lie with the education, but with the practice. I won't know for sure until I'm there.
