Here's some more information about the radical resolutions passed by the National Education Association, the NEA, at its 2010 convention held in New Orleans this past summer. The bias of the NEA in favor of internationalism, globalism, and the United Nations is very apparent from the passage of these resolutions. The NEA would like to add all sorts of classes in the public schools in global education, multiculturalism, and climate change. The NEA is very big into the teaching of environmentalism, the so-called danger to the environment of population growth, transferring American wealth overseas, and celebrating Earth Day instead of Easter. Somehow I get the impression that those propaganda courses are more important to the NEA than reading and math.
The NEA adopts all the feminist goals, including abortion, the Equal Rights Amendment, and changing the language of textbooks to eliminate all gender specific words such as mother, father, husband, and wife.
The NEA announced that it supports the unverified dogma that humans are to blame for global climate change and we must take steps to do something about it. The NEA passed a strong resolution opposing any restrictions on immigration, and supporting taxpayer-paid financial handouts to illegal alien students. The NEA resolution on global education states that children must be taught that the United States is interdependent in the world and that we must share the world's resources with other countries. The NEA passed resolutions endorsing the giveaway of U.S. sovereignty to various United Nations and international organizations such as the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, and the UN Declaration of Human Rights. If you don't want your kid to be taught to be a globalist, now is the time to speak up.
