The Iron Lady is a new movie about Margaret Thatcher, the great British conservative prime minister of the 1980s. She was the Ronald Reagan of Britain.
The movie primarily portrays her in her in retirement, as an old lady with dementia. It supposedly tells her life story as flashbacks. It makes no attempt to explain why she is a great conservative hero.
The critics have praised actress Meryl Streep's portrayal of a woman with dementia. It is a lot less popular with the public, and it scores only 6.0 out of 10 on Imdb. No, I have not seen it, and I have no plans to see it.
Update: Streep just a Golden Globe award for her portrayal of Thatcher with dementia.
