Hate to think of gay chickens

Wonder how Chick-fil-A restaurants got so controversial? NPR radio explains:
A quick recap of how Chick-fil-A suddenly found itself at the center of one of America's hottest social debates: July 16, 2012 - Company President Dan Cathy gives an interview to the Biblical Recorder newspaper, which is re-posted in the Baptist Press, saying, "Well, guilty as charged," when asked about the company's support of the traditional family. "We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that." July 18, 2012 - Controversy spreads nationally on social media networks like Twitter and Facebook. The Office star Ed Helms announced on Twitter he's boycotting the company over the stance. Helms' tweet: "Chick-fil-A doesn't like gay people? So lame. Hate to think what they do to the gay chickens! Lost a loyal fan."
After that the company backpeddled
Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena. Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and family-led company serving the communities in which it operates. From the day Truett Cathy started the company, he began applying biblically-based principles to managing his business. For example, we believe that closing on Sundays, operating debt-free and devoting a percentage of our profits back to our communities are what make us a stronger company and Chick-fil-A family. Our mission is simple: to serve great food, provide genuine hospitality and have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.
Closed on Sunday? Debt-free? Supporting traditional marriage? Biblically-based principles? The mayors of Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco have all tried to block the restaurant chain for those beliefs, in spite of the obvious First Amendment violation. They are against the Bible, but not the Koran, even tho Moslems believe in polygamy and in homosexuality being a capital offense. Meanwhile, the billionaire founders of Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks, and Nike are donating money to promote same-sex marriage. I doubt that these liberals like the ideas of being debt-free or closed on Sunday either. Debt and welfare are what lead to control and dependency. They cannot achieve their goals if everyone is free to act according to their own beliefs. They want everyone subordinated to student loans, mortgages, health insurance, and food stamps, and we have had massive increases in these govt programs. The traditional American family had the freedom and autonomy to make the decisions that were best for the family. Many families today are enslaved by debt and dependence. The Obama administration has stood for getting more people dependent on govt programs, and undermining families.
