How Liberals Plan to Rob the Cities

I recently talked with Professor Stanley Kurtz on my Saturday radio talk program and we discussed his new book called Spreading the Wealth: How Obama is Robbing the Suburbs to Pay for the Cities. He described the liberals' plan to redistribute America's wealth from the suburbs to the cities. Dr. Kurtz explained that for nearly 20 years, there has been a movement afoot whose main goal is to have city governments swallow up and control suburban governments. The purpose is for city governments to grab control of suburban tax money. You see, the liberals and those who were trained by Saul Alinsky in his community organizing methods blame the poverty of the cities on the middle-class people who have moved to the suburbs and taken their tax money with them.

Of course, the great American dream is to buy a house near good schools with a yard for the kids to play in, but the liberals instead blame these people as greedy racists who moved to the suburbs just because they didn't want to share their wealth. And the liberals want the government to make them do it, so here is their plan.

#1. Urge suburbanites to move back to the city and keep more people from moving to the suburbs by making driving automobiles more expensive and using zoning regulations to block more suburban development. #2. Move the urban poor into suburbs using taxpayer-subsidized housing programs. 3. Have state legislatures create regional tax-base sharing arrangements in order to force a redistribution of suburban tax money to nearby cities. This new book by Dr. Stanley Kurtz is called Spreading the Wealth by Robbing the Cities. If you live in a suburb, you should be on guard against what the liberals have planned for your future. I think most Americans believe we have the right to move from one city to another.
