These demands should not be met by the administration of the University of Arizona. Students who want all of these items to be provided for “free” by the college do not have a basic understanding of economics. The cost of all the “free stuff” will eventually result in higher tuition rates for all students. That would only make it harder for new students to afford to go to the university.
The demands would also throw free speech out the window. Teachers should not have their classroom material censored to remove anything that a student might not agree with. Going to college should be about hearing different points of view. More and more colleges are being challenged by liberal students with outrageous demands. University administrations should stand up to these loud students and let them know that America is the land of opportunity, not entitlement.
