His comments come after Donald Trump was officially endorsed by the National Rifle Association. Trump warned that Clinton “wants to abolish the Second Amendment.” Trump continued to pledge “We're not going to let that happen. We're going to preserve it, we're going to cherish it.” Sessions and Trump are right to bring up this important problem with Hillary Clinton. She has vocally opposed Second Amendment protections. She opposed the landmark District of Columbia v. Heller decision, which reinforced the fact that owning firearms is an individual right guaranteed in the Constitution.
Senator Sessions pointed out that Clinton could use the power of judicial appointment to force her agenda on our country. He said “she will appoint somebody who changes [the Second Amendment], and what that means is it's no longer a personal right to have a gun, but every city, county and state can completely ban firearms in America.” He said this would be “the greatest reduction of Second Amendment rights since the founding of the Republic." Voters need to pick the candidate who stands firmly on the Second Amendment of the Constitution. If Hillary Clinton in elected in November, many of the rights that we hold dear could be threatened by her liberal anti-Constitution agenda.
